Whether you are looking for Dairy Alternatives because you’re newly vegan, plant based, have an allergy, etc etc…. we’re going to give you our BEST of the bunch! In 2012 when I gave up dairy for my new vegan lifestyle, I had one cheese brand, one butter brand and one sour cream/cream cheese brand.
All of you newly looking to go dairy free are in luck in 2020, although with SO many options, it can be very overwhelming which is why we have created the, “Best Of,” list! We cover everything from non-dairy milks to the best cheese for a grilled cheese!
Please be aware, these alternatives are NOT going to taste EXACTLY as you remember your dairy version to taste like. If you go in to it with fresh eyes and taste buds thinking, “hey, I’m just trying something new,” you can absolutely find ones you will like.

THE BEST OF DAIRY ALTERNATIVES, 2020 EDITION
Dairy Free Ice Cream’s have come A LONG way! It has probably grown the most at of the dairy alternatives over the last couple years. There are many options so I will give you the brands we buy the most. ..and for fun, our favorite flavors.
REVOLUTION GELATO (AN INCREDIBLE LOCAL ATLANTA BRAND)
Jen: Cardamom Spice
Ryan: Darkest Chocolate
IN CONCLUSION, I WANT TO POINT OUT
The companies I have recommended are the MOST convenient in the United States. There are many other smaller companies that are making their way as well. Ask questions in your local Vegan Facebook Groups. For instance, there is a small Vegan-Only Market called V Marks The Shop in South Philadelphia that carries many other amazing brands of dairy alternatives. Look for other alternatives in your farmers markets or smaller organic-type grocery stores, as well.
AND, do not be afraid to ask your local grocer to carry a brand you would like!! If they do not know the demand is there, they have no idea to supply it.
