EXPO EAST® was a great experience. And although there were a ton of brands there that caught my attention, I will highlight a couple of the ones that really stood out. Of course, clean and well-designed packaging will always make somebody take notice. On the other hand, it's the actual product that drive people to repeat a purchase. These are some of the brands that spoke highly to me in terms of look, product, and story.

1) REVOLUTION GELATO™

Siblings Jared Olkin and Leah Sitkin grew up eating really, really, ridiculously good ice cream. Premium home made ice cream from their mother's shop. However, with a little food education, and a need to make their desserts kosher and cruelty- and dairy-free, they wanted to provide a better option in that space. Because any option they tried paled in comparison to what mom used to make, their journey has lead them to some trial and error, but they did it, and damn, it's no joke. Their guerilla style packaging with bright pops of color speak towards a Banksy piece, or a graffiti wall in 5Pointz, with great flavors to match. Especially the Chocolate. Wow! With over 700 locations predominately in the Southeast, and an amazing range of flavors, Revolution Gelato™ can hopefully make a widespread national impact so us West Coasters can easily enjoy their ice cream on a regular basis. www.revolutiongelato.com
