Charleston veg fest & weekend adventure

Hey hippies!

As many of you know, next year me and some really amazing peeps are bringing Greenville it’s first ever Veg Fest!

In the meantime, me and the rest of the veg fest team have made it our mission to support the other veg fests in the area. We left for Charleston early Saturday morning for their first ever Sol-Food Veg Fest! It was held at the beautiful Grove Park at Patriots Point.

The sun was shining and the weather couldn’t have been more perfect. They greeted us with the most adorable welcome bags, full of goodies like cruelty-free chap stick and veggie seeds to plant in a garden!

We then came across one of our favorites from the Asheville Veg Fest, Revolution Gelato! We paired the Cardamom Kissand Nekkid Espresso flavors together and it tasted like an explosion of delicious Turkish coffee – well, the ice cream version. We topped it with caramel and peanuts. That’s right, dairy-free caramel and oh my was it incredible. It’s way more like ice cream than gelato and we were in heaven. It’s definitely one of the best dairy-free (and cruelty-free) ice cream treats that you can find easily at your local Wholefoods!
